People may think that fashion is a full-of-imagination industry. Designers make gorgeous clothes with complex cutting and tailoring, unusual fabrics, magnificent patterns and colors, beautiful Swarovski, glamorous make-up, etc. However, there's still a big question when we see most of designers walking out on the runway after the fashion show. Commonly, they look very ordinary. Wearing a very casual and simple items. Monochrome colors are their favorite. Black, gray, or white are their inseparable colors. This phenomenon isn't only seen among fashion designers, but also among editor-in-chief, models, and some fashionista.
Woman designers usually appear with no make-up and messy hair. Man designers usually appear very plain with bald head or messy hair. Their appearances maybe don't represent fashion, but their masterpiece and creativity has been spread all over the world and people love it!
Maybe, most of fashion designers have been struggled to create designs in a period of time. Sometimes they are pressured to create 70-90 designs in a very short period of time. Moreover, they have been wrestled with beauty and glamorous stuffs which make them finally sick of all of them. At the end, they just want to show who they really are by wearing something that isn't flashy and just let their designs sparkle on the runway.

This situation will be different if a designer has personal label such as Stella McCartney, John Galliano, or Vera Wang.
